Accessible documents
For cities, counties, townships and school districts
From $1,800 a year
The Justice Department's ADA Title II rule requires the documents your office posts online to work for people who use screen readers and other assistive technology. We fix each new PDF you post and send it back within 3 business days, with a record of every check we ran.
Your compliance date
- Governments serving 50,000 or more people
- Governments serving fewer than 50,000 people, and special districts
These dates come from the Justice Department's April 2026 extension. A lawsuit filed in May 2026 asks a federal court to undo that extension. If it succeeds, the 2024 dates return, and the first of them, April 24, 2026, has already passed.
What the rule covers
From your compliance date, the documents you post have to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the same standard as your web pages.
- New documents. Every PDF, Word file, spreadsheet or slide deck you post on or after your date.
- Older documents people still use. Applications, permit forms and program guides that people use now to apply for, get access to, or take part in your services.
- Usually not older agendas and minutes. Documents posted before your date are generally exempt unless people still use them to get a service.
So the steady work is every new document from your date on, plus the forms still in use. That's what we price.
The annual service
| Plan | New pages | Price a year |
|---|---|---|
| Small | up to 1,000 | $1,800 |
| Standard | up to 2,500 | $2,700 |
| Large | up to 5,000 | $3,600 |
- Turnaround: 3 business days on every plan.
- Older documents still in use: $1 a page for plain text and $2 a page for tables and forms, quoted before we start.
- Getting documents to us: send them through an upload link, or we download them from your website.
- If a file misses its checks: tell us within 10 business days and we fix it within 5, at no charge.
What comes back with every file
- The same PDF, fixed. We repair the file you posted, so you replace it in place. We don't swap it for a separate web page.
- A conformance log. The automated checks we ran, including the open-source PDF/UA checker veraPDF, and what we checked by hand: reading order, image descriptions and table headers.
- Scans made readable. When a document is a scanned image, we recognize its text and proofread it against the page, so a screen reader has real words to read.
A sample, before and after
Before: what a screen reader finds
- No tags. Headings, lists and the claims table all read as one run of text.
- No title. The reader announces the file name instead.
- No language. The voice has to guess how to pronounce the words.
- Real text. It isn't a scanned image, so it can be fixed without retyping.
After: the structure a screen reader uses

Start with a free check
Send us your website address. We'll check up to 20 of the PDFs you've posted, fix your most recent agenda at no charge, and send a one-page report of what we found.
The report lists what we checked. It doesn't claim your site is or isn't compliant.
Buying from us
- Indiana law lets local governments buy services using any procedure they consider appropriate, so many offices can approve this without a formal bid. Your own purchasing policy decides.
- We can work from your purchase order with our one-page scope attached, or under our services agreement. Invoices are due in 30 days, and we'll send a W-9 on request.
- We meet the technical checks written into your scope and show you the results. We don't certify legal compliance; your attorney can advise on that.
